That’s the term my daughter-in-law used when I told her what the doctor said ~ goodish news.
Dr. G was right on top of things, calling me a little after 9 yesterday morning to let me know that my results were in, and it was the best possible news he had hoped for.
I have a pre-cancerous condition known as complex hyperplasia in my uterus.
Since my pap said “cancerous cells” and the biopsy said “pre-cancerous”, Dr. G wants to do a D&C (also known as a dusting and cleaning or the medical term of dilation and currettage) to scrape out a larger chunk of my uterus lining to determine if the biopsy is correct (which he believes it is).
When the results from the D&C come back and it is what Dr. G believes, I will just have a simple hysterectomy.
This morning, I’ve been singing the Lion’s part when he and Dorothy, the Tin Man and Scarecrow made it to the Land of Oz, and they were being made pretty to meet the Wizard ~ a snip, snip here and a snip, snip there and a couple of la dee das, that’s how we’ll make the cancer go away in the merry old land of Oz.
Here’s to us all being cancer free!
